The slow recording is Diane playing from the tablature. The fast recording is Roland playing something fairly close, but not exactly what's in the tab.  All dashes (-) indicate slides unless otherwise noted.   In the first four measures (not counting the pickup measure) the slides are all one-fret slides up to the designated note.  In the 5th and 6th measures there are slides "off", that is, sliding down about a fret and at the same time releasing a little of the pressure on the strings.  But don't take your fingers off the strings.)  Listen to the recording to get the right sound.  The tie (arching lines) between the last two notes  in the song indicate that you pick the first note and let it ring for the duration of both notes.
